In Japan Japan is a cash-based society. Students are strongly encouraged to set up a Debit Card with their bank (in the U.S., prior to departure) to enable the use of ATM bank tellers, and retrieve cash as needed during their stay in Japan. — The following cost quotes are minimum recommended personal allowances. • Meals / groceries, entertainment, etc. ($50 per day for 16 days, minimum) • Taxis, Subways, Gifts, Supplies, etc. • Fees in bicycle parking structures (JCMU requires that you have a bike lock) • Coin operated laundry machines on campus • Towel, personal hygiene products, indoor footwear • Guide books, maps, digital storage media such as USB 2.0 Seagate 500GB Drive |

Can I Use Financial Aid? | |||
Yes — Students that would like to use Financial Aid must pay any costs up front, and will then be reimbursed on June 6, 2016. Financial Aid cannot be used to pay the deposit because it is a spring semester course. | |||
Are Scholarships Available? | |||
Yes — Students must apply for a WCC Foundation Scholarship by February 10, 2016, and if awarded, can use the funds to offset some portion of the costs. Notice of an award may not occur until mid-March. Go to http://www.wccnet.edu/foundation for more info. | |||
