days exploring Edinburgh! |

 Another Safestay hostel served as our home base! |

 Many of our group visited Edinburgh castle. |

 There are a lot of impressive fortifications inside the castle. |

 The Scottish crown jewels are in there! |

 Various cannon were placed around the castle. |
 The most impressive of these cannon was Mons meg - a famous 15th-century bombard. |
 The armory contained some impressive suits of armor. |
 The view from the castle was fantastic! |
 Even better! |
 After visiting the castle, some of us had a bone to pick with John Knox! |
 Of course, some of us visited that beloved Scottish institution - BrewDog! |

 Most of us also visited the National Museum of Scotland! |
 Gorgeous museum! |
 There are so many amazing artifacts in this museum, such as this pocket watch of James I. |
 Before the guillotine, there was the Maiden!! |
 The Lewis Chessmen! Medieval chess pieces carved from walrus ivory. |
 Anyone remember Dolly the sheep?!?! |
