Internet Explorer Security Issue

Some installations of Internet Explorer attempt to limit the power of web pages by not running the the Java applets or even the Javascript that is part of the web page. The tests for this course use Javascript to produce individual problems on the test. As a result, you might load a test on Internet Explorer only to find that the text of the questions is not there. For example, the following page is the result of having the security setting at maximum:

Note the message from Internet Explorer, the missing text of the problems, and even the warning message from within the web page. This issue can be resolved by going tot he Tools menu item and selecting Internet Options at the bottom of the list.

This will open a new window and when you select the Security Tab at the top of that window it should appear somewhat like the following:

Then you will need to move the Security Level selection to a lower level.

Alternatively, you might get an Internet Explorer warning such as the following:

In this case you need to click where the warning says "Click here for options" in order to get the following choices:

And, as you might expect, you want to "Allow Blocked Content" by clicking on that option. This should result in the following message:

Your appropriate response is to click on the "Yes" button.

If the problem remains, you might want to try a different machine or a different browser; I prefer Firefox, but it is just one of many that are out there.
