Originally this page pointed the user to step by step instructions
on installing R and RStudio on
both a PC and a Mac computer. Please note, that
for either computer, you need to install R
before you install RStudio.
Over the years I have tried many approaches to documenting how to set up
our system and install both my scripts and the main software.
The old attempts may be interesting but they have been
outdated by changes in the way R and RStudio
are being delivered. Therefore, what you see here are links to videos
showing the installation of a PC and on a Mac, along with a listing of the steps
to do these things including
