INP 203: Overview
Designing User Experience 2
In this course students will gain experience with various methods for evaluating and improving website usability and accessibility, as well as learn about technologies and techniques for presenting and managing Web content. In exploring the area of accessibility, the students will use adaptive technology to better understand how users with disabilities experience Web sites.
Students will also explore opportunities for employment and further education in the user experience field.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will have:
- Planned and conducted usability testing of a website, documenting the findings in a formal report
- Conducted an expert review of a website, documenting the findings in a formal report
- Performed task analyses for a transactional website, reconstructing the tasks and storyboarding the revised process
- Developed a website style guide, containing numerous interface and interaction guidelines
- Analyzed the accessibility of a website, documenting the findings in a formal report
- Explored content management via thesauri, controlled vocabularies, and facetted classification
- Researched and given a presentation on the user experience of a device
