In this course, the student will learn about the Internet and its history, core functions and components, standards approval processes, domain names and IP addresses.
The student will analyze and validate Web sites, use browser options and plug-ins effectively, become acquainted with newsgroups, chat, ftp, and telnet, and explore options by which organizations connect to the Internet.
The student will also use e-mail attachments, understanding their types and limitations.
