ANSWERS:
1. A Plugin is software that enables a browser to display, 
   as part of the browser window, files which the browser's 
   own software can't display.

2. A Helper Application is a program which is run to display 
   files on the Internet which cannot be displayed by the 
   browser itself.

3. A plugin displays a file as part of a browser window, but 
   a helper application runs in an independent window of its 
   own.

4. Most plugins are available for free download from the Internet.
