2. Installing a Laptop PC External Modem

a. Plug the PCMCIA card into one of the two PCMCIA slots on the side of the laptop computer 

 

 


 
 
 
 
 
 

 

There are two models of cards - a pop out jack, or an extension jack - connect the phone cable to the jack. 

Pop-out jack:

b. Plug the phone cable into the wall phone jack.

 

c. Switch the computer's power on.

 

d. Follow the instructions for configuring the modem in Step 3 (NG33wcm), but click the PCMCIA modem card option button during step b.
